Critical Incident Stress Management Team

Reaching out to the responder
Experience has taught us that public safety responders can be emotionally affected by difficult calls, especially those involving the death of a responder, a child or an acquaintance. Using the model developed by Jeffrey Mitchell, the team provides peer crisis intervention to enable responders to deal with stressful calls. Intervention can range from a simple one-on-one meeting with a team member to a full scale debriefing involving multiple agencies.
